“There are in this world blessed souls, whose sorrows all spring up into joys for others; whose earthly hopes, laid in the grave with many tears, are the seed from which spring healing flowers and balm for the desolate and the distressed.”
Hello, I am Sherri.
I am located in Des Moines, IA and trained through Sustainable Faith’s School of Spiritual Direction. I am also an instructor for the school helping others in the care of souls. I’ve been on this journey for over a decade.
My first experience in Spiritual Direction was on the road of love and suffering in my battle with Leukemia. I enjoy giving folks the gift of being listened to, discovering God’s lavish love and care, and unlocking desires buried deep within. Spiritual Direction has helped me move all the clutter and noise of life out of the way to be able to taste, see, and experience the love of the Trinity in an ever increasing way.
I am thankful to be a wife, mother and grandmother. In partnership with Mike we have pastored churches in the inner city, small towns, and worked with leaders for over 45 years. We love to be near water anywhere, hike, kayak, read, play with our grandchildren, and laugh at every opportunity. Most of all we love reminding ourselves and others, ‘the best is yet to come’.
Michael here.
I am located in Des Moines, IA and trained through Sustainable Faith’s School of Spiritual Direction. Along with Sherri I also train other folks to be a companion to others in their walk with Jesus. I have been a pastor, vocationally and bi-vocationally for over 45 years. Holding hope with folks is a sacred joy for me. Receiving spiritual direction has personally unlocked a deep awareness of God’s activity and care in my life. I am privileged to come alongside others through Spiritual Direction. I enjoy listening and giving you my full attention as you discover God’s endless attention and love for you.
I desire for others to experience a flourishing life with God. My joy in life is to help others live the life they never thought they could.
I am thankful to be a husband, father, and grandfather. Sherri and I love to be out in nature, riding our bikes, hiking, camping, and playing with our grandchildren.I have walked through cancer treatment and life after treatment with Sherri, one of my most important works in life. My favorite saying is “The best is yet to come.”
